Although he did experience some mouth pain afterward, he felt confident knowing he was in capable hands. "I met with the staff and orthodontist mid March to discuss my options to fix my smile. I am 35 and had wire braces as a child but like many, did not wear my retainer. I was really impressed with the space. It’s very nice and welcoming and the staff are so friendly. I decided to move forward with Invisalign and got my trays yesterday. The process was pain-free, seamless, and the staff again was great to work with. I can’t wait to see the progress that I make. "I had my first orthodontist appointment at SVO earlier this year. Addie was amazing in welcoming me into the office and doing all of my initial scans. I then worked with Tara and Dr. Song to see what the best options were for the health and look of my smile. Tara explained in detail what ortho appliances they offered that could potentially help me. Dr. Song then came in and walked me through my images to discuss what he believed to be the best course of action to correct my concerns. Tara then helped me find some oral surgeon options for tooth extractions prior to starting invisalign. She was also super helpful in the breakdown financially of what invisalign would look like for me. I then returned for my first appointment for invisalign with Kathy, she was awesome! She had me laughing the entire time and explained the process of invisalign to me. I left with no questions and felt good about the experience. "I brought my daughter in for a consultation and the office was nothing short of amazing. They were so welcoming from the moment we stepped in the door. They greeted us, had a welcome sign for all the patients coming that day and they offered coffee, tea, water while we waited. Very quickly the staff welcomed us back to give us a tour of the office and start the photos and exam. We quickly got through all the X-rays and photos and then talked to the dentist and tech about their ortho plan. They explained the options and their plan and were very thorough. They gave my daughter a welcome gift, which was very thoughtful! Since it’s summer the office was offering a “sweet treat” of ice cream to all patients. I still can’t believe everything that can be done by Invisalign, but I’m so glad she gets to avoid all the crazy contraptions and pain I went through. Five of my kids plus my spouse have been through treatments here and the professionalism and courtesy of the entire staff has been first class. When we first sought out orthodontic treatment for our first child, we went to a different practice in Winchester and the doctor there called my child "dracula" to her face because of her malignment. Totally unprofessional and we left that practice immediately and landed at SVO. Without question, this is the best of the best and we've never looked back. "Took my 8 year old son here for an initial assessment. Staff was very friendly welcomed me as soon as I walked in the door. The office was bright and open, with plenty of seating and areas to wait. They had an iPad room for kids as well as a coffee bar for adults! The technicians and doctors were very knowledgeable and professional. X-rays and photos were taken free of charge and a full assessment was done by the doctor as well. They made my son and I feel comfortable and relaxed. They spent lots of time with us explaining how the processes of orthodontics normally work and what they thought my son needed in future. While there we also saw all the staff sing and dance in celebration of another patient getting their braces off. They really work at making the office a fun place to be for kids (and adults!). I will continue taking my son here for follow ups and eventually braces. Would highly recommend to others."

"I was referred here by a friend on Facebook with very high expectations. When you enter a place with such high standards, its not very often that they 100% meet those expectations but exceed them by far. To start the entire staff makes you feel so very comfortable in a place almost everyone feels uncomfortable going to. There was basically no wait time, by the time I finished my paper work I had already had two x-rays and dental pictures taken and was being sat down for my consultation. The office is so forward thinking and clean with complete transparency. On top of them already doing everything you would ask of your orthodontists they offer above and beyond customer service with an iPad station, coffee bar, reward programs, and more. The best part out of all the many parts though is how comfortable and easily they walk you through the process and work with you to assure you their is nothing freighting about your ortho experience from the work they do in your mouth to the payment options at the end of your visits. I enjoyed my visit so much I was almost happy that my teeth needed an orthodontists just so that I got to experience The Shenandoah Valley Orthodontics office."
"I took my son for the first time to get checked on how soon he would have to get braces and I was amazed by how professional the entire crew was. From the moment I opened the door the recepcionista was aware of who I was based on the time of appoiment. Super friendly, showed me where everything was, engaged with my kids and Jackie the coordinator was shortly after I arrived ready to take action. The place was really modern and well put by the professionals ( this is something that really catchs my eye when I go to a heath facility). Loved the simple way to explaining things to the kids and parents, Jackie gave a tour around the office and I was really impressed with some of the special treatments they do for their patients. "My twins went for consolation today. One has real anxiety of the dentist. Ms Jacky came out and got them for pictures while I completed paper work. Not only did they go with her, when I was done the paper work they were coming back out and they laughing and smiling. Ms Jacky is a true miracle worker. She and Dr Lil then sat with us and discussed all the needed orthodontics for each of them. The boys are Eight and felt very comfortable asking questions. Each of them where answered. They said Invisalign was NOT an option, were planning 2 surgeries at UVA, permanent screws in her jaw, sawing her jaw bone, were demeaning in their presentation saying my daughter's teeth were "a huge problem" and "a big mess." "From our first visit, (and after visiting an IN-Network Orthodontist an hour away) we could tell where our son would go for his braces. Shenandoah Valley Orthodontist sat down with us, took pictures and took the time to explain what all would happen and what all was needed to give him a great smile. We are still early in, but we have been very pleased with every visit and he is now happier to show his smile. Everyone is very nice and will answer any question that I have. They even go as far as to let us know how much time is needed for the next appointment. While Shenandoah is not in our network, we worked out a payment plan that we can afford (after the insurance initial payment). When we were looking through our options, we did ask others that went with Shenandoah Orthodontist and they all agreed they where great! We would gladly recommend Shenandoah Valley Orthodontist!"
"The entire staff at SVO are so awesome to work with! While they ultimately rely on the parents decisions, they make sure to have the child included and get their opinions as well, which made my daughter feel much more comfortable and important! From the first appointment down to the day we got her braces off, they were with her 100%. They give them a "welcome" gym bag that includes goodies such as spin toothbrush, water bottle, etc...maybe not a big deal to some, but this is one of the ways they make them feel special. We just got her braces off yesterday and they gave her a special graduation "snack" present, which included foods that she couldn't eat while she had braces. They presented it her at the end of her appointment, along with balloons and a special bag of cookies AND the whole office came together to sing (and play hand instruments) their "deband" song! Then they take a picture of them and proudly hang it in their office showing off their beautiful smile. :) They totally go above and beyond, and I will choose them again if my youngest needs braces. On a side note, my friend's orthodontist does NONE of this for her son and he hates going. Would this make a difference, who knows, but both of my girls have never hated going. Just something to think about!"

"We have been with Shenandoah Valley Orthodontics since May 2015. Our experience has been superb. They run an efficient yet personable business. They are very professional and appear to have state of the art electronics, scheduling and office setup. They explained each step in detail and provided pros and cons of waiting (we decided not to wait after our consultation and seeing how crowded her teeth were). We had a few snafus with my daughter's braces and had a few extra visits. They worked us in quickly despite having a full schedule. It was a smooth 15 months and well worth the effort, cost and time when we see our daughter's smile. Thank you!!"
